Product Support Updates
We are aware that our LRC passenger car trucks can be a bit stiff. In response to this we have produced a new ball-bearing equipped wheelset that is available at our cost of only $4.00/set. Simply swap these into your trucks and watch them roll away!

If you want to improve the existing wheelsets, we have discovered a trick that will help improve their rolling abilities immensely.
On our models each wheel is pressed into a plastic tube which forms the axle. Between the axle and each wheel is a small steel sleeve that the wheels are designed to spin in. The addition of some extra lubrication can help the rolling qualities of these wheelsets immensely.
Remove each wheelset from the car. Then twist each wheel out of the plastic axle – you may need pliers to hold the axle. Once you have done that, the steel sleeve will slide right off, and you will see that there is a little “shoulder” built into the wheel that it rides on. Put a small drop of oil on this shoulder, and slide the sleeve back on. Then, slide the wheel back into the plastic axle, and repeat on the other side.
Once all of the wheelsets are done, simply reinstall them onto the car. Your car should be ready to go.
41-N-11 Inside Swinghanger Trucks
Some cars are equipped with 41-N-11 trucks, also known as inside swinghanger trucks. These trucks need to have their ends snipped off in order to operate on curves between 22″ and 28″ radius. They will not operate on curves tighter than 22″ radius. It is best to test the car on your tightest curve, and cut off the ends if they bind on the underframe. Use a small pair of nippers or flush cutters, and snip off the ends at the grooves. You will need to remove the trucks from the cars before attempting this.
